How to Type Vietnamese on Your Computer

Follow the instructions below for your operating system to set up Vietnamese keyboard input.

macOS (Built-in Vietnamese Input)

  1. 1Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS).
  2. 2Go to Keyboard > Input Sources > Edit.
  3. 3Click the "+" button to add a new input source.
  4. 4Search for "Vietnamese" and select "Vietnamese Telex".
  5. 5Click "Add" to enable it.
  6. 6Use the input source menu in the menu bar (or press Control + Space) to switch to Vietnamese Telex.
  7. 7You can now type Vietnamese using Telex input in any app.
